I was recently informed that an optician will be joining the ranks of the Kemp Mill Armory in the Shopping Center...Great..
We need something exciting..Something different..Heck if we are planning to build a GLORIOUS MIKVA than why stop there? With this New Mikva we will be compared with other major cities and yet we do not even have a Kosher Sushi store, let alone a flashig restaurant in the shopping center!!
What is it about Kemp mill??
We have 2-3 store fronts at the Shopping Center that are begging for something nice!!!
Wait I have it......... A Mikva!

Forget a kosher sushi stores. We don't need a kosher sushi store. How would that ever survive in a community like this with people who drive around in a Lexus and complain about the prices of tuition. Perhaps a nice restaurant? Pomegranate does not do justice! Maybe a nice restaurant where the service and the ambiance is of equal value to the food! Don't tell me pastry oven. We need a nice sit down steak house. Something that compares to abigails or le marais in New York or Shallots Bistro in Chicago. They have good food, nice service and you pay for what you get.
And aren't you funny. Now you compare the needs of a mikva to a sushi store and and a fleishig restaurant?!? (flashig??)

this is not new york, and it never will be. the only reason pomegranate will survive is because its in potomac
In terms of the Pomegranate I hope it does last. However I am a little concerend (LOL) i think they may do better off in the shopping center at Kemp Mill.

Do you really see so many Lexuses (Lexi?) being driven around Silver Spring? I don't. I also don't see many of the other excesses associated with many other communities, such as $25,000 pesach vacations or $50/meal restaurants (we'll see how long Pom. lasts). Yes, there are people who drive in a Lexus and take vacations, but I think they are a tiny fraction of the community. Furthermore, do you have any special insight that you know they are the ones complaining about tution? Maybe I'm just naive/inobservant, but I just don't see it.
silver spring is the only community that can spend this much time talking about nonsense because there is nothing else going on here!!
Forget about a Mikvah in the Shopping center. Too public, not Tsnius enough.
Now a Sushi place that's a different Kettle of fish.

I think perhaps we need a Shul where those who want to "daven" can go and not be disturbed by, or disturb those, who are those trying to talk.
maybe a shul that people go to daven instead of slur the words and pretend they are davening.
There should be a Kol Koreh from all the Rabbonim to close down all the Kosher restaurants so that people will have more money to pay for tuition.
Oops I forgot the Rabbi's get paid for the HASHGACHAS so forget about it.
or....instead of all these negative posts, maybe be constructive and do something positive for a change
